I feel the need to write about my little princess to get rid of the evil spirits brought in from the last post. Hahahahaha. My little princess can get me smiling anytime. Even when I’m in the middle of “merajuk-ing” with hubs. Terus sejuk jer hati.
On lyssa’s developments
This little princess is getting smarter and smarter everyday. She now has her own ways to tell us what she wants. And me and hubs can now pick up whatever it is that she is trying to tell us.
She’s a blabbermouth when she’s sleepy. People will say to her, “kenapa tak ngantuk lagi ni?” because she’s talking nonstop. However, mommy and daddy knows that its actually a sign that she is very sleepy. Because she will go right to sleep immediately after a few pats and a session on the milky bar.
She likes sitting outside. She loves watching the birds and seeing the cars and trucks and motorcycles pass by. She even loves the swings. Everytime she hears the front door opening/closing, she will immediately turn her attention to see who is going out/coming in. If that person waves to her to say hi/bye2, she will spread her arms out and ask to be picked up cos she wants to go outside.
She now understands that if she cries out long enough, her needs will eventually be met. Especially if she wants to dukung.
She has started crawling a few paces, she sat all by herself that one time, she can lift herself up with support. I’m still teaching her how to salam, and kiss kiss and bye bye.
She cried real tears of pain that time her finger tersepit while she was playing with the windshield wiper handle at the car steering wheel. Don’t know how that happened. Mommy’s bad!
She says mamama to me… and mam mam mam to everyone else (hahahahahaha… at least i WANT to think so lah!)
She screams in anger and frustration everytime her daddy bullies her by hugging her so tight that she can’t move an inch. But she’s still daddy’s girl.
The shows on telly doesn’t really interest her right now but she will stop to watch the stations jingles and short commercials. Like “CERIA”, that paint commercial, the jingle for berita terkini… that sort of stuff.
Lyssa’s going on her first plane ride next week. We’re going to Labuan to visit her cousins. Hmmm… have to reread those tips on ‘when flying with babies’.
She weighs 7.6kg @ 7months.
On breastfeeding and her EBMs
She prefers to breastfeed lying down. I think its becoming more uncomfortable for her to be in the cradle position since she’s getting bigger plus she would be drenched in sweat on the side that is pressed against my arm. Her daytime feeding sessions are getting less frequent but she still hangs on for dear life at night ;-)
If she’s with her ninda during the days, she drinks 4 x 3oz max. Once in the morning, once in the afternoon and once (or twice) in the evening. She eats a bowl of blended rice porridge twice a day.
On mommy’s pumping routine
Declining. Getting a bit lazy. Ok, I admit. I’m in my lazy mode right now because I see a lot of freezer stash. Previously I used to pump up to 6 times when I’m at work to get maximum output. Now, when I see that I have 12oz (sometimes 9oz), I stop. But I still have to pump at her mealtimes during the weekend cos I’d get so engorged.
