She just loves to eat! And drink! She eats regularly now. Twice a day. But none of the nonsense stuff. I tried to give her Farley’s Rusks the other day and she made a face. Anak melayu ni suka makan nasi. Her usual menu is blended rice porridge with veges (potatoes, green spinach, red spinach or carrots) and either chicken, ikan bilis or beef (stock only). We only started blending the chicken together with the rice porridge this week. She seems to just enjoy herself eating it! Seldom would she spit anything back out. Not even the water we give her to drink. Offer her a spoonful of her rice and she would just nganga away.

My mom and my MIL usually cooks for her. USUALLY? Ok, I mean ALWAYS. Hahahaha. I’m giving both grandmamas the opportunity to feed their precious little baby granddaughter here. And my little princess is so lucky to have 2 grandmamas who just loves cooking and feeding the little princess. Lyssa’s mommy? Well, I just feed her the usual way ;-)

Have you ever noticed that many of the instant baby food sold contains milk? I initially wanted to try giving her those baby food in a box stuff but since most of them contains milk, macam tak best plak rasa nak kasi. And is Nestum really suitable for babies? I just wonder because i didn’t notice any labels on the can saying that it is baby food, or are there several types of Nestum? One for babies and another for non-babies? Well, so far the only store bought stuff that I’ve given Lyssa to try is the Farley’s Rusks. It was sweet tasting, different compared to all the rice she’s been eating so I think that’s why she made a face. Takpe laa… maybe I’ll try again later.

By the way, she was right. It does get easier after the baby starts eating regularly. Lyssa’s daily EBM intake is about 12oz max. And I notice even that amount she doesn’t quite finish. But during the night she still hangs on tight to the boobies. I’m not as stressed out as I used to be when it comes to her EBMs. And now, only once in a while do I need to pump during the nights. But on weekends I would pump during her mealtimes to prevent my supply from dropping. Just a preventative measure.

Her poo-poo movements are so regular now. No more once a week. More like once every other day. And boy does it STINK! And so ever COLORFUL! Bits of orange and green…depending on what she eats. I’m getting a bit too graphic here I know but I’m just amazed at how much different it is from when she was only exclusively breastfeeding! Rindu plak her non-smelly poo!

Oh yeah, and her BUMBO is really coming in handy now. No need to buy a highchair! Tak rugilah beli…
