We went to The Curve last Saturday just to jalan-jalan. Before Lyssa was born hubby and I go there nearly every single weekend up to the point where our friends knew where we were every time they called us up. We’ve even spent the night at Royal Bintang with nothing but the clothes on our backs because I was too “pregnant” to go home…Hahahahaha…Membazir duit betul.

I wanted to go to the shop where I bought my swing. Nothing is wrong with the pump. Its just that, I don’t know how I did it, but I broke one of the pins on the adapter thing. Go figure. Ganas betul. So I wanted to buy a replacement. Ingatkan taklah mahal sangat, huhuhuhu… the salesgirl said it costs RM65! Aiyoooo… I can do a lot of things with RM65! So since with a little bit of creativity I can still actually use the adapter (and I can still use batteries) I decided against buying the thing for now. Tunggu kalau2 dah betul2 takleh pakai esok barulah pergi cari balik. Mahal sangat laaa…and its not even an original medela adapter or anything…or am I just being cheap??? :-)

Anyway, here’s another story. I wanted to try eating at The Apartment since I read some pretty good stuff about the food/atmosphere there. Hubby plak ok jer and Lyssa was her cheerful self. So we went in, the place was cozy. Real laid back deco. Placed our orders. Hubby wanted to smoke so he went to buy some first and did his thing outside which took quite some time. Lama jugaklah he was gone. Our drinks came. Lyssa was still fine playing by herself and sitting in her stroller. Masih tak bising2 suruh mommy dia angkat. By the time hubby came back like 20 minutes later, gelas minuman tuu pun dah mula berpeluh. Lyssa pulak dah mula gelisah mintak angkat. I picked her up. She loves playing with the strap of my handbag. She can entertain herself for quite some time just playing with those straps. And if my handbag is unzipped she also loves taking the contents out one by one and I would put everything in again and she would take them out again. Then after she got bored I carried her around the restaurant which was almost empty except for a group of four people tucking into their desserts. By this time hubby dah merungut. Almost 45 minutes and our food has yet to arrive. And no one, esp the waiter who took our order, came to our table to inform us that our food will be late or anything. Semua staff dalam tuu tgh sibuk buat hal masing2 yang sangat tak berkaitan dengan mengambil order/memasak/mengemas meja atau sewaktu dengannya. What I saw was the staff busy jotting down their shift schedules, busy talking to each other, busy fooling around, busy trying to look busy. Even the cooks in the kitchen didn’t look like they were cooking anything! There was even this one staff who came out to the sink area to comb and tidy up his hair and admire himself in the mirror. I told hubby (who was actually fuming by this time) that we wait for another 5 minutes and if the food still tak sampai, we go. I’m the one who is usually very patient with restaurant people because, well, I don’t want them to spit in my food. But since that day I saw A LOT of staff busy being busy, and the place was nearly empty, and we had waited for about an hour and our food still hasn’t arrived I got really upset. I told hubby just to pay for the drinks and I did not want to wait anymore. I did not even want to give them the courtesy of asking if they’ve already cooked the food. No one bothered to wait on us so the place doesn’t deserve another cent of our money there. And I wasn’t about to pay for lousy service! So hubby asked for the bill and I told them to just cancel our order because I had lost my appetite with all that waiting… Barulah the waiter menggelabah gi tanya kitchen why the delay. Itupun the waiter offer some lame excuse there was a problem with one of our orders, hhmmmph… amiklah, lagi hotlah mommy nii. I told him if there was any problems why didn’t he just inform us, and when I wanted to see his supervisor, the guy that came out just looked blur. He didn’t even offer any apologies or anything. He just looked VEY BLUR. No sense of customer service at all! Geram ok. I mean I would understand if the place was packed to the brim and that caused the delay but that day the place was totally empty!!! It was only us and we had to wait for an hour! And every single staff in there totally ignored us! And there was more staff than customers! Manalah mommy ni tak marah. The restaurant may look nice, but the service really s**ks and we never got to know if the food is good or not and I don’t think I really want to know now.
