Does extended bf-ing cause oral thrush in older babies?

Last-last I brought her to Ampang Puteri on Saturday morning… cos she was complaining her mouth hurt.

Kebetulan ada one female paed on duty which Lyssa has visited before…

I was right… the doc confirmed it was oral thrush…

Prescribed the meds like I read…

But honestly, I don’t really like her… the paed I mean…

When I asked for some meds just in case I get yeast infection on my n*ips cos I was still bf-ing… she reprimanded me for still bf-ing Lyssa (sambil buat muka and commenting on how Lyssa is already too old to be breastfed) and told me it was why Lyssa got oral thrush.

Hmmm… OK… I know that’s a possibility, but its not the ONLY possible reason right?

I still haven’t done enough research but maybe other bf moms out there know whether what she said is true.
