New Year Weekend

New year’s eve was spent in bed… sleeping. My MIL asked me whether I heard the fireworks and whether Lyssa’s sleep was disturbed that night by it… Honestly, both of us tido tak ingat sampai kebabooom fireworks pun tak dengar ;-)

Does extended bf-ing cause oral thrush in older...
Last-last I brought her to Ampang Puteri on Saturday morning… cos she was complaining her mouth hurt.
Kebetulan ada one female paed on duty which Lyssa has visited before…
I was right… the doc confirmed it was oral thrush…

I think Lyssa has oral thrush…
I noticed the white stains inside of her mouth and when I wiped it off with a cloth, it left a red, raw looking skin… telltale signs of thrush… no?
Like the article mentioned, babies are more prone to this but older children can get it too.
Now I’m paranoid about getting yeast infection on my n*ps cos its gonna be painful.

Lyssa rindu daddy.
Last night while sleeping Lyssa cried out “DADDY…”
Alamak… I risau tetiba dia bangun nangis-nangis ke apa, terus capai her dad’s baju buchuk and put it near her. Dia pun ala-ala letak muka ke shirt daddy and terus kembali tidor dengan tenang.
Rindu daddy rupanya.
Selama nii kalau tanya dia, “Lyssa rindu daddy tak?”

Three years ago today...
A good son.
If I’m ever blessed to have a son, I’d want my son to be just like my husband.
He puts importance on his mom’s well-being without ever making me feel any less important.

Dah sampai.
Hubby sudah selamat sampai ke destinasi. Syukur. Not a lot of problems with customs and immigration.
But as expected, he said there was a lot of waiting involved. Waited for the driver to arrive, waited for the keys to the apartment and he called me this morning and informed that he’s waiting for transport to the office ;-)

Day 1: So I guess this is day ONE.
It’s 2 in the morning.
Just got back from sending my husband to the airport.
Honestly, I would completely break down if I let my emotions get the better of me. I’m not that strong but I’ll try to be.

1. It looks like someone broke into my parents house cos the windows were opened, padlocks were missing, toilet in a mess and a piece of ceiling tile has fallen to pieces on the floor. But strangely, the house was NOT in a mess or looked like it has been ransacked. And I don’t think there’s anything missing.
2. We went to make a police report, but a comment from one random police...

Tiba-tiba teringat.
Hari tuu nampak Wardina and her daughters at The Curve. She’s so pretty!! Ingat ker minah arab mana. Pandang dua kali baru perasan itu Wardina.

Tak larat dah nak menjawab bila orang tanya “So lepas nii buat apa?”
So most people at the office knows already that I’ve passed my Master’s Degree (with minor corrections yang belum dibetulkan lagi).
Bila jumpa orang yang skali-skala baru nampak muka, mesti ditanya soalan wajib. “Dah habis kan? Lepas nii buat apa?”

She was the designated flower girl. Along with her other cousin.
Pandai dia ikut instructions, jalan sikit… tabur bunga, jalan sikit… tabur bunga. Sikit pun tak segan silu, gentar, nervous etc… dengan orang ramai lagi. Senyum jer tak mau. Serious buat duty ;-p

Yes. Lyssa is still breastfeeding.

Kakak dekat Pejabat Dekan bagitau external examiner sudah selesai mark my dissertation. (Internal examiner mmg dah lama selesai).
Tapi official result belum kuar cos diorang nak meeting dulu. 10 Nov.
Tapi dia cakap semua ok.
Apa maksud dia “semua ok”… wallahualam…

Red Strappy Sandals
I saw a pair of really pretty RED strappys at CnK the other day.
Why is it when I WANT to go shoe shopping and have a specific item in mind, I almost always never get what I want (like when I wanted a nude color shoe for Raya but didn’t find one that I like or they didn’t have it in my size)…
…but when I go browsing with the intention to just window shop and not buy...

She’s really getting used to the carseat now. No complaints. Especially when I’m driving alone with her.

Handle with care.
This was a great book.
It made me think about a lot of things.
And the way that the author told the stories from different points of views was also refreshing for me to read.
The ending wasn’t so predictable.
Totally worth every cent.

Since I will (hopefully) have a lot more free time on my hands next year, I am planning to slowly start teaching Lyssa to read.
